New Sun Nutrition Nets $25 Million First Round

SANTA BARBARA, CA -- Supplement beverage maker New Sun Nutrition, Inc. announced that it has received a $25 million series round of venture capital investment from a syndicate of firms.

New Sun manufactures and distributes its line of energy drinks as health supplements to sports enthusiasts and health conscious consumers.  Famed biking athlete Lance Armstrong is a company spokesman and board member.

Investors in the round were led by Oak Investment Partners, and included Radar Partners and Thomas Weisel, chairman and CEO of Thomas Weisel Partners.
